PMIC moderated a session on “Improving Farmer’s Financial Health”

Mr. Yasir Ashfaq Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company – PMIC moderated a session on “Improving Farmer’s Financial Health” at the Agri Tech Conference 2023 – hosted by Pakistan Fintech Network. The conference is being organized under the thematic area “Seeking fintech solutions to revitalize agriculture in Pakistan”.
The discussion revolved around small farmers and how technology coupled with access to finance could play a key role in improving their crop yields, helping them adopt modern farming practices, and reducing the role of Arthi (middleman) – ultimately benefitting these subsistence farmers in increasing their incomes and positively impacting country’s food security situation.
