PMIC and BII Partner to Expand Access to Finance in Pakistan

Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) and British International Investment (BII), the UK’s development finance institution and impact investor, have partnered to unlock up to USD 30 million in additional lending through PMIC’s portfolio, supported by a USD 15 million risk-sharing facility from BII.

The partnership will support PMIC in strengthening its engagement with Pakistan’s microfinance sector, expanding access to finance for underserved communities, and enhancing climate resilience.

The signing marks an important milestone in the collaboration between PMIC and BII and reflects a shared commitment to promoting inclusive economic growth and strengthening financial access across Pakistan.
