Dr. Markus Aschendorf is a senior executive with over 25 years of leadership experience at KfW Bankengruppe across Europe, Asia, and MENA, with deep expertise in equity investments, financial sector development, risk management, and corporate governance. Currently serving as Head of Division for Equity Investments & Funds, he also holds key governance roles including Board Director of the Africa Agriculture and Trade Investment Fund, as well as Member of the Advisory Committee of the Nomou Jordan Fund. Dr. Aschendorf has previously chaired the European Fund for South East Europe Investment Committee, led several strategic divisions at KfW. He holds a PhD in Business Administration and an IoD Diploma in Company Direction, supported by extensive academic and professional training in finance, economics, and banking.
