Mr. Yasir Ashfaq
Mr. Yasir Ashfaq is working as Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC). He was previously working as Chief Operating Officer of PMIC since August 2016. Before joining PMIC, he has worked with Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund as Group Head, Financial Services Group in a similar role. Yasir has over 20 years of experience in financial sector of the country and has worked at senior management positions in commercial and investment banks. His areas of expertise include designing policy and strategy, corporate finance, portfolio management, treasury, finance and accounts, development finance, corporate finance, risk management, development of institutions and new financial products and approaches of delivery. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants (ICMA) of Pakistan and holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from University of Sydney, Australia.
Saqib Siddiqui
Saqib Siddiqui, holding professional credentials in microfinance and development finance, brings more than three decades of experience in microfinance and poverty reduction across Pakistan. He has previously designed and implemented inclusive finance programs focused on rural and underserved communities, with deep expertise in risk management, institutional development, and operational systems. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he leads strategic and operational execution to advance financial inclusion, strengthens partner institutions, and ensures effective service delivery across the sector.
Neelum Aamir
Neelum Aamir brings over 20 years of diversified experience in financial management, audit, corporate compliance, and regulatory oversight across the development sector, corporate entities, and apex regulatory bodies. As CFO of PMIC, she leads financial strategy, governance, and compliance functions ensuring robust financial management and regulatory alignment. Prior to her current role, she served at the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) in a leadership role contributing to regulatory and prudential oversight of NBFCs and capital market. She also previously led PMIC’s Internal Audit function, where she established the department and its strategic and operational foundations.
M Rashid Imran
Mr. Rashid started his career in 2004 with Network Microfinance Bank Limited (Now Apna Microfinance Bank) and then moved to Tameer Bank (Now Telenor Microfinance Bank) in 2005. He joined Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) in 2017 and moved back to Telenor Microfinance Bank in 2019. Rashid’s career spans over 16 years in the Microfinance Industry. His last assignment, before joining PMIC was with Telenor Bank Ltd where he served as Head of Credit Operations. Rashid holds a Bachelors and Masters (commerce) degree from Karachi University Rashid is a seasoned Risk Professional who has diverse experience in the application of Risk Management Practices and Financial Controls.
Yasir Masud
Yasir Masud, LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Wolverhampton (Holborn College, London), is a Senior Corporate Legal Professional with over 25 years of diversified experience across Oil & Energy and Banking sectors, both nationally and internationally. He is certified as an Independent Director through LUMS’ Directors Training Program and is registered in the Independent Directors Databank with PICG. He previously served as Company Secretary & General Counsel at the HBL Microfinance Bank Limited. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where his core competencies include strategic legal counsel, complex negotiations, legal advisory, board management, and corporate governance.
Zainab Kakar
Zainab Kakar leads PMIC’s People, Communications, and Business Development functions, bringing a cross-functional perspective to the company’s growth and impact. She is responsible for building strategic partnerships, guiding stakeholder engagement, and shaping PMIC’s external communications. Zainab also oversees internal initiatives that support organizational development and align people strategy with PMIC’s broader goals. Her work bridges the internal and external dimensions of PMIC’s mission, helping the organization remain adaptive, inclusive, and forward-looking.
Asif Rashid
Asif Rashid is a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and ACCA-UK. He brings over 20 years of diversified audit experience spanning agile auditing, financial analysis, risk assessment, and audit software implementation. He previously served as Head of Retail Audits at HBL Microfinance Bank Limited, where he led the branch audit team to improve the control environment. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his expertise to strengthen the internal control system through effective and efficient internal audit processes.
Bilal Razzaq
Bilal Abdul Razzaq is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with ten years of experience across Audit & Assurance, Risk Management, and Corporate Finance, most recently at Askari Bank Limited. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his expertise to understand sector-specific requirements, develop strategic initiatives, and provide insights to drive business performance, while deepening his capabilities in microfinance and treasury operations.
Hassan Nawaz
Mr. Hassan Nawaz is an associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan having more than 10 years of experience of financial reporting, internal and external audits, financial planning and control.
Prior to joining PMIC, he has working with a specialized financial institution where he was heading the financial reporting department. Moreover, he has done his article ship from EY Ford Rhodes.
Ali Said
Ali Said holds a Master’s degree in Commerce (Finance) from the University of Peshawar and is a Diplomate Associate of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan. He has over 20 years of diversified professional experience spanning microfinance, treasury operations, money and capital markets, accounts, finance, and risk management. He began his career with the Bank of Khyber in 2000 and is currently associated with Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC). In his present role, he is responsible for managing the credit portfolio of non-banking microfinance companies and microfinance banks. His role encompasses underwriting, business development, strengthening client relationships.
Aliya Fatima Zaidi
Ailya Zaidi is an ACCA-qualified professional with over 13 years of experience in audit and risk management. She began her career in January 2008 as an Audit Trainee at KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co., where she served for five years and developed a strong foundation in audit and assurance. She later worked as Manager – Operational Risk at Samba Bank Limited, gaining extensive experience in banking risk frameworks and controls. Currently, she serves as Vice President – Risk Management at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where she is responsible for overseeing credit, operational, market, and liquidity risks, as well as ESM and compliance. She brings a well-rounded perspective, combining audit expertise with hands-on experience in risk management.
Mariam Agha
Mariam Agha, a CFA Charter holder, brings over ten years of experience across risk, credit underwriting, and portfolio management in both commercial and microfinance banking in Pakistan. Her areas of expertise include in-depth financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic guidance to support business decision-making. She previously served as AVP Financial Risk at U Microfinance Bank for five years, where she used data analytics to drive informed decisions and optimize business outcomes. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), applying her diverse skillset to advance the company’s mission in microfinance investment.
Tufail Ahmed
Tufail Ahmed, holding an MBA (Finance) from the University of AJ&K and B.Com from the University of Punjab brings over 20 years of microfinance sector experience, having started his career as a Credit Officer at NRSP in October 2004 and subsequently serving as Assistant Manager Portfolio Management at PPAF. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he manages borrower relationships, finalizes credit proposals for new and existing investments, and monitors portfolio performance across team functions. His role also includes conducting institutional ratings, quarterly and annual financial reviews of borrowers. He possesses diverse expertise in both retail microfinance and wholesale lending to microfinance providers.
M Faheem Khalid
Muhammad Faheem Khalid holds an MBA from FAST School of Management and brings over 14 years of progressive experience across microfinance, value chain development, microinsurance, digital finance, micro and small enterprises, and renewable energy. He previously served at the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) as a Management Executive in the Financial Services Group, where he contributed to advancing inclusive finance initiatives. He also worked at Publicis Pakistan, gaining experience in knowledge management and public relations. He currently serves as AVP Sector Development at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he designs and deploys microfinance-plus projects, manages data systems, and leads initiatives in renewable energy, enterprise and agricultural value chains, microinsurance and education finance.
Afia Khan
Afia Khan, holding a BSc Honors in Management Information Systems (MIS) from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management, brings over 10 years of experience with multinational organizations including VEON, JAZZ (Mobilink), and MOL Oil and Gas Co. Ltd. She currently serves as Lead for Organisation and Talent Development at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where she excels in talent management, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness. She designs and implements HR strategies aligned with business goals, leveraging strong capabilities in networking and communications.
Sulman Tariq
Sulman Tariq, an ACCA Fellow Member, brings over thirteen years of financial sector experience, having started his career at Zarai Taraqiati Bank Ltd in March 2010, followed by a role at Khushhali Microfinance Bank Ltd from 2014, where he last served as Executive for Fixed Assets and Branchless Banking. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), applying deep expertise in International Accounting Standards and ERP implementation. His role encompasses planning, inception, execution, and control of projects, with strong capabilities in financial systems and asset management across microfinance and banking environments.
Rimsha Taj
Rimsha Taj, holds a degree in Social Development and Policy from Habib University, Karachi. With seven years of professional experience, her areas of expertise include designing and implementing grant and blended finance projects, building strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, quality assurance, and impact assessment. She has worked on nutrition and poverty graduation programs in Sindh and Balochistan, and interned internationally in Kampala, Uganda. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), positioning the organization as an SDG-aligned impact investor.
Afnan Iqbal
Afnan Iqbal is a graduate in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, an ACCA Member, and has passed CFA Level II, with over 12 years of experience in credit risk evaluation, financial analysis, and risk assessment. He developed strong expertise at The Pakistan Credit Rating Agency Limited, leading credit rating assignments involving financial analysis, liquidity and market risk assessment, and evaluation of corporate and financial sector entities. His experience at Easypaisa Digital Bank and U Microfinance Bank Limited provided exposure to microfinance and digital lending, including credit underwriting, portfolio quality assessment, and risk management. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company, focusing on credit risk, portfolio monitoring, and financial analysis. He also holds certifications from IFMP.
Khushbakht
Khush Bakht holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance (Gold Medalist) from Capital University of Science & Technology. She began her career at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company as a Management Trainee Officer and currently serves as a Manager, supporting portfolio operations with a focus on financial analysis, portfolio analytics, budgeting, and credit monitoring.
Zunaira Akram
Zunaira Akram is a Certified Accounting Technician (UK) and an ACCA finalist (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK). She brings ten years of practical experience in accounts and finance management, including 8 years in the microfinance industry with U Microfinance Bank Limited and Mobilink Microfinance Bank Limited. Her expertise spans financial management, accounting, taxation, and audit, complemented by teaching experience in business administration. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), applying her theoretical and practical knowledge to finance operations and team leadership.
Shariq Baig
Shariq Baig holds a Master’s in Economics from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad. He brings over seven years of experience across Fintech, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and International NGOs (INGOs). His expertise includes navigating regulatory frameworks and balancing regulatory adherence with operational efficiency. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his cross-sectoral experience to support compliance, operational strategy, and financial inclusion initiatives within the microfinance ecosystem.
Irfan Shah
Irfan Shah holds an MCS and an MBA (ITM) from Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi and International Islamic University Islamabad, respectively. He brings over 18 years of IT experience across PTCL, NCHD, and Express Group of Media, and has served as Manager IT (Outsourced Employee) at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) for over five years. He currently serves at PMIC, where he applies his extensive IT operations expertise to support existing and new projects, develop strategic technology solutions, and drive business performance within the microfinance sector.
Sharjeel Ahmed
Sharjeel Ahmed is a seasoned internal auditor with over nine years of experience in financial and operational audits, e-audit implementation, and data analytics. His expertise includes system-based auditing, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and audit transformation through continuous audit processes. He is proficient in MS Power BI and Excel. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his skills in data-driven auditing to strengthen internal controls, enhance audit efficiency, and support compliance across the organization.
Adeel Shahzad Qureshi
Adeel Shahzad Qureshi is a procurement and administration professional with over a decade of diverse industry experience. He holds an Graduation from the University of Sargodha and is certified in Data Analytics while pursuing certification in PMP. His expertise includes strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, logistics planning, and facility oversight. He has held key procurement roles at prominent organizations including 10Pearls, Sense Communications, Trillium Pakistan, Mobiserve Pakistan, and Netkom Technologies. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his cross-sectoral procurement experience to build efficient, business-aligned procurement ecosystems that deliver sustained value.
Sumaira Imdad
Sumaira Imdad is a seasoned corporate and tax lawyer with expertise in legal consultancy, contract drafting, regulatory compliance, and litigation support. She holds an LLM from Bahria University and is a licensed advocate, having worked with prominent law firms and corporate entities. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where she applies her legal expertise to support governance, compliance, and contractual matters.
Dur E Najaf
Dur e Najaf is a Certified Business Accountant (CBA) from the Institute of Chartred Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and also a CA Finalist from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP). She brings four years of external audit experience as a Senior Audit Associate at BDO Ebrahim and Co. Chartered Accountants. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where she applies her audit and assurance expertise to financial reporting and compliance functions
Ahmed Sarfraz
Ahmed holds an MSc in Finance and Investment (First Class Honours) from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of London. He serves as a Manager — Risk and Compliance at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he oversees the Company's market, liquidity, operational, credit, and ESG risk frameworks. He is currently a CFA Level II candidate.
Zarak Jamal Khan
Zarak Jamal holds an M.Phil. in Econometrics from the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE). He brings over five years of diverse professional experience across multiple sectors. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his quantitative and analytical skills to support microfinance sector initiatives, with a focus on econometric modeling and data-driven decision-making.
Faizan Ul Haq Siddiqui
Faizan Ul Haq Siddiqui holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences and is an ACCA finalist. He previously trained at SECP and Telenor. Currently a Manager at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), he leads relationship management, financial analysis and modeling, and prepares board-level proposals to drive investment activity and impact within the microfinance sector.
Maliha Iqbal
Maliha Iqbal holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance from Bahria University, Islamabad. She began her corporate career as a Management Trainee at Askari Bank Limited's Corporate & Investment Banking Group, where she gained 1.5 years of experience as a Relationship Associate, supported by various internships. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) as manager portfolio management, applying her banking and relationship management background.
Ahmed Masood
Ahmed Masood holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the National University of Science & Technology (NUST). He began his career as a Management Trainee at Askari Bank Limited, where he served as Business Strategy & Support Officer to the Group Head of Corporate & Investment Banking. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC).
Chaudhry Muhammad Qaiser
Chaudhry Muhammad Qaiser joined PMIC with professional experience on his credit of more than 19 years in IT, HR, Administrative Operations and Top Management Support. His educational background includes Bachelors in Computer Sciences and MBA in HR with A grade. He joined the educational industry in 2003 and later the advertising industry in 2007. He worked there on various positions till 2022. Qaiser also worked with ONE Constitution Avenue as Top Management Executive Support where he managed their entire residential facilities with excellence before joining PMIC to diversify his experience even more in the financial sector.
Muhammad Bilal
Muhammad Bilal holds a bachelors degree in finance and accounting. He oversees accounts payable, vendor management, treasury functions, and cash flow planning to maintain financial stability. His responsibilities include tax compliance across withholding tax, sales tax, and VAT, as well as bank reconciliations and ledger management. He leads month-end closing activities He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), applying his comprehensive finance expertise.
Hassan Sheikh
Hassan Sheikh is a ACCA and CA Finalist currently serving as Assistant Manager Financial Reporting at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC). He brings over 3.5 years of audit and assurance experience from Nexia International (RACO), where he managed end-to-end audits across diverse industries and demonstrated strong command of accounting and auditing standards. He is a recipient of the ICAP Talent Scholarship. He currently leads financial reporting functions at PMIC, ensuring compliance and technical accuracy.
Nabeera Rashid
Nabeera holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Finance specialization from Air University, Islamabad (2023). She previously worked as a Finance Executive at Switch Communication for one year, supported by an internship. She joined Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC) as a Management Trainee Officer and has since been promoted to Assistant Manager in the Risk and Compliance department, where she currently serves.
Muhammad Sulaiman
Muhammad Sulaiman holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. He previously interned at Huawei Pakistan. He currently serves as Assistant Manager, Corporate Finance and Investment Banking at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his academic foundation and analytical skills to support corporate finance functions and investment banking activities.
Zarak Khan
Zarak Khan holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from NUST Business School. He has gained practical exposure through internships and roles at CMPak (Zong) and Askari Corporate & Investment Banking Group. He currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where he applies his academic foundation and early corporate finance experience to support investment and financial operations.
Aisha Qaisar
Aisha Qaisar holds a Master’s in Banking & Finance from IBA and earned a Gold Medal in her Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of Karachi. Her experience spans financial analysis, reporting, compliance, and research, having worked as a Finance Manager at VideozLab, Compliance Officer at Pak Brunei Investment Company, and intern at SUPARCO. She currently serves at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC), where she applies her expertise in credit risk and compliance to support sustainable growth and advance financial inclusion.
Fatima Omer
Fatima Omar holds a BS in Social Sciences and Liberal Arts (major in Psychology) from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and is a Certified Global HR Professional. She supports end-to-end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, offboarding, and HR operations on ERP systems. She serves as a key contact for employee queries and engagement, while designing and implementing training initiatives across the organization. With a background in psychology, she brings a people-centric, analytical approach to HR practices. She also manages internal and external communications, including social media, strengthening PMIC’s engagement and brand presence.
Rania Tahir
Rania Tahir holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from NUST Business School, with a strong academic foundation in finance, economics, and management. She contributes to the development and implementation of retail and portfolio management initiatives at PMIC by designing operational processes, SOPs, and system workflows to enhance efficiency and usability. In her role, she supports credit evaluations and portfolio monitoring through data-driven analysis, applying her cross-functional expertise to strengthen portfolio operations at Pakistan Microfinance Investment Company (PMIC).
