Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of the CTO is to provide strategic & operational direction for IT related matters and departmental support services. The incumbent is tasked with making conscious technology decisions on behalf of the company, including managing a technology budget and making investments to align the company with its vision for its technological needs. He / She should be a strategic thinker, an effective communicator, and an expert in technological development.
He / She will work directly under the CEO and will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future operations of the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aligning technology initiatives with business strategies to drive growth, innovation, and competitive advantage.
- The development and deployment of technological services, including the design, development, implementation, and coordination of systems, policies, and procedures.
- Support the CEO in making decisions on behalf of the company’s technological requirements.
- Developing comprehensive processes and policies for data security, network access, backup systems, and mitigating technological risks, including cybersecurity threats, to protect the organization’s assets and reputation.
- Managing IT budgets and time frames.
- Assisting in the execution and completion of IT projects.
- Introducing new technologies for end-users to improve work efficiency.
- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
- Effectively communicating technological concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Any other tasks assigned by CEO.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors (BE), Masters (MS)
EXPERIENCE
7-10 Years in IT, ERP and related fields.
Technical Competencies
- Understanding of ERP environment
- Knowledge about maintenance, up-grading of IT infrastructure
- Project Planning & Organizing
- Knowledge of managing and up-grading Server setups and
- Awareness / knowledge of new technology trends / web or mobile app development (would be an added advantage)
- Understanding of digital finance/digital banking.
